WordPress by Jazz Legends, An Infographic About the WP History
WordPress is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. We like to say that WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time. The core software is built by hundreds of community volunteers, and when you’re ready for more there are thousands of plugins and themes available to transform your site into almost anything you can imagine. Over 60 million people have chosen WordPress to power the place on the web they call “home” — we’d love you to join the family.
From the early days of WordPress 1.2, every new release is named by Matt Mullenweg after a Jazz legend, a tradition which has not changed over the years. Fans of Jazz will recognise many artists, release names, but it is easy to forget these and use WordPress release number instead. Matt often has chosen for a sax player, an instrument the WordPress founder also plays.
We looked at the names of every release, the main new features introduced with every major new version as well as the basic analysis of the self-hosted blogging software world that is the WordPress community. We then added ‘WordPress Blue’ and ended up with this infographic for you:

WordPress is the first blogging software/system I was exposed to and quite frankly nothing has even tempted me to try something different.

I do agree that WordPress can be terrific. But I often find I feel like I am in HELL when I can not figure out a technical problem and I have no LIVE support to help me. That to me is its major downfall.
Yes, it is nice and even romantic to have this Jazzy history of WordPress. But at this point I don’t care about its history, I want it to work for me NOW!
Any ideas or suggestions of how to get help. Keep in mind, I can not learn from reading.
